SAN FRANCISCO (1)

Hellooo,

first of all: The pictures aren't edited because they are already on my laptop, and I usually edit them on my smartphone, sooo.. here it is! My first post about the beautiful city San Francisco (I will split them into parts, otherwise it would get too long)!

Sightseeing: This time I haven't been to that many places because I've already seen a lot of SF in 2012. 

I was really tired when I arrived because of the jet lag. So my cousin brought me to the Sutro Baths which is next to the Ocean Beach. It was exhausting to go down there, but it was worth it! Here are some impressions: 

On the second day, I've visited the Golden Gate Bridge at night, which was very cold and not that spectacular as I thought it would be because it was dimly lit. If you wanna visit the famous brigde, go there by day! You can take so beautiful pictures! Here is one picture I took at night.

I've mostly spent the third day in Chinatown and I had my first bus experience in San Francisco! You really need to watch out for your station, because everything in SF looks so similar and it gets totally confusing! You pay like $2.25 and get one ticket which you can use 3-4 hours. If you're not sure about the stations, just ask the bus driver to tell you when your station comes. They are very friendly and helpful! When I arrived in Chinatown, I really felt like I was in China (you don't say). The people and the smell of delicious food. I wish Germany would have that.. This is what I love about San Francisco! It is so lovely there and the people are incredibly polite! Well, I went through the streets of  Chinatown and got interrupted by the restaurant Imperial Palace. It was totally busy, but the Dim Sum there is worth trying! There is also a really interesting story about this restaurant! It has a really terrifying prehistory, which you can read here.

The next day was amazing! I went to PIER 39, where a lot of restaurants, gift shops and the famous sea lions are! My cousin showed me this amazing candyshop named The Candy Baron, where I  bought these amazing sea salt candies! There are so many different kinds of candy! It felt like paradise!

  

After that I went Downtown and visited the Union Square. You can say that this place is "alive" because people go there shopping and eating. I would also only go there to have this amazing view and enjoy the city and the people. This picture can't even show what my eyes saw. 

Another stop was the Stanford University. It is not far from San Francisco and is totally worth visiting. I have only three words for this university: huge, beautiful, happiness. This place is wonderful. I would love studying if I would be a student here. I swear. It is like a little city because if you want to go from one faculty to another, you need to go by car or by bike. Incredible!

 

 

JET LAG

Hello beauties,

here I am. Sitting in front of my laptop at 05:27 am and having breakfast. No, I ain't crazy. Well, I told you in my latest post that I might be going on vacation. I did. My destination was the beautiful city San Francisco in California. I've stayed there for about two weeks and I just came back on Monday, therefore my odd timing. 

Whatsoever, as time passes, it is already September and in the next few days I'm going to be very busy. My cousin's marriage is on two days. The vietnamese wedding on Friday and the "classic" wedding on Saturday. My talented friend helped me with some songs, which I'm going to sing on Saturday, and I am very grateful for that!

To cut a long story: Be excited about some blogposts about my lovely vacation in the US the next few weeks! There are many pictures and stories for you! *smile*

UPDATE.

Hello beautieees x,

I haven't written about my life in a while, so I just wanted to keep you up to date.

Well, I am in my semester break for about two weeks now and I have the right to, since I've been all stressed about my exams. Whatever, it's over (at least for now) and I'm already preparing myself to do the exams in November. 

Oh my goooosh, and I still have so much other things to do in the next few weeks. Got soo much in my mind!!

There is my cousins wedding, a nightover, birthdays, meetings aaand I'm probably going on vacation next weekend for I don't know how long. I'll tell you more about it, when it's 120% sure!

As you might know, I'm in Cologne right now with my family and friends, and I still need to go back to Münster a few times because of private matters *wink*

Did you know that I'm going to be a "WWU-Buddy"? If not: "WWU" is the name of the college I go to in Münster and being a "WWU-Buddy" means to take care of international students from everywhere but Germany, who want to study for a while in our college. Taking care means pretty much everything. To guide them around Münster, to show them our college, to go on lunch and dinner with them, to show them our nightlife (which I'm not good at, but the "WWU-Buddy"s are going to be paired off, so I hope my partner will be better at it) and some more points. I'm really excited to meet my two students!

However, I'm going to write more about everything when it all happened.

Hello little sunshines!

I just ordered two new pieces from the Abercrombie & Fitch online store. It usually takes one week until my order from A&F arrives. This time, it only took 3 days! Say whaaaat. 

The first piece is just a basic long sleeve tee, the second is a boyfriend short. Here are some impressions:

When I see pictures, which explain my current life situation and feelings, I just take screenshots. After that, I want to post them somewhere on social media, but then I don't. I'm not exactly sure why, maybe because they are too cheesy or something. Actually, there are a few which are really motivating. Well, here they are. MUNICH.

Hello my loves!

So, I've visited my eldest brother in Munich and my first thoughts were: big, green and busy city. I wanted to share some of my impressions of Munich with you , which include sightseeing, food and some random things. 

Sightseeing

In this chapter, I'm going to show the places I loved.

- Englischer Garten -

The Englischer Garten is a must-see in Munich. It is huge and my feet felt like they were bleeding, but it was totally worth it! When we first arrived there, I was overwhelmed by nature. It was just so clean and everyone seemed to be so happy. My brother and I walked to the Chinesischer Turm, where everybody get together, drink some beer and talk. I don't know if you can see it, but at the second floor of the tower you can see men wearing Trachten. When we got pass the tower, we arrived the Eisbachwelle, which is also known as a surfspot. It was really cool to see those foreigners surf, I wish I had the energy and talent to learn that too!

- Hofgarten -

Well, when you kind of finished the Englischer Garten, you will get to the Hofgarten, which connects the Englischer Garten with the inner city of Munich. There is a little pavilion in the middle of the Hofgarten which is surrounded by four fountains. I heard that there are always people dancing in this pavilion, which I also got to see.

- Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München -

As a student, I felt like it was my duty to visit the university in Munich. Here are some impressions, which, I think, are tremendous! (You guys know about the "Geschwister Scholl" right? If you don't: They were German siblings in Germany, who were against the National Socialism)

PURE HEART?

So, I just wanted to talk about that one quote, you know, which says that good people go bad because of how others treat them and stuff. I know, people can be harsh, but there is no reason to be like that too. If you do believe in miracles and the best in people, you should hold onto that. Don't let other people or bad situations change your positive view of life. You will probably think : Well, easier said than done. Yes, it is. However, you should try it. Everyone in his life has been through tough situations, even the ones that (you think) smile all the time and pretend like everything's alright and easy peasy lemon squeezy. As you know and see, everyone handles it differently. Some go mean to protect themselves and to let others feel how they felt, and others stay nice, because they don't want to hurt other people because they know what it's like. I don't know what I'm writing. I just wanted to tell you that life isn't easy and you shouldn't let certain circumstances get you down for the rest of your life. There are always situations that are going to be hard and it is okay to be sad. Obviously, it is human. You need to know that there are always ups, even if it's difficult to realize it in that moment. 

Stay strong, a pure heart will live forever because it isn't easy to break. (my quote, copyright hehe)

Some people might think that this is cheesy, and I'm also sometimes a person who doesn't like these kind of texts, but whatever. I really am sorry for the structure of the text. There is so much to say about this kind of topic, I just wrote everything down that came into my mind and I didn't want to go into detail because there wouldn't be an end.

Hello sunshines,

I hope you all had a great week so far because it can only get better! 

In less than four hours I'm going to head back to Cologne and my weekend there is going to be fabulous! The sun will shine and I'm going to spend these days with some precious people. Barbecue with my ladies, shopping with wonderful people and a wellness day in Bad Oeynhausen. Can't wait!
Furthermore, there is a package from Hollister waiting for me. I've also ordered Abercrombie & Fitch clothes, which are just some basics. Unfortunately, I haven't taken some pictures yet, but be prepared! I will post a few pictures next week!

Hellooo meine Lieben!
Ich weiß, ich habe lange (einen Monat) keinen Blogpost mehr verfasst und das hat auch seine Gründe. Ich bin öfters auswärts essen, muss paar Lieder für die Hochzeit meines Cousins im September draufhaben und die Uni gibt mir viel zu lernen. Schreibe in 2 Wochen meine Statistik Prüfung und fahre dann noch mit meiner Mutter nach Paris. Muss das Ganze noch organisieren :-) 

Whatever, ich habe total viele Bilder für euch von den 31 Tagen, in denen ich hier inaktiv war. Natürlich bestehen die Bilder größtenteils aus Essen *bigsmile*. Ich habe in Münster paar neue Läden, wie KRAWUMMEL, Hotdog Station, L'Osteria und paar Eisdielen besucht. 

Außerdem war ich in Köln beim Street Food Festival Ende April, wobei mich die frittierten Oreos vom Dem kleinen Munchkin total begeistert haben. Einfach mega lecker! Total empfehlenswert, wobei Der kleine Munchkin keinen festen Standort hat, sondern mit seinem kleinen Wagen von Stadt zu Stadt reist. War dann jedoch doch ein bisschen enttäuscht vom Street Food Festival an sich, da die einzelnen Stände sich von den Angeboten sehr ähnlich waren. Sprich, es gab viele asiatische und westliche Sachen. 

Anfang Mai war ich mit zwei Freundinnen im Phantasialand. Ich habe es dort sooo sehr vermisst, insbesondere die Kokosbarren (Kokosraspeln in weißer Schokolade) und Churros. Heaven on earth!! Die haben dort auch eine neue Wasserachterbahn mit der steilsten Abfahrt in ganz Europa! Da bin ich natürlich draufgegangen (auch wenn alleine), und es war so gut! Hat mega Spaß gemacht, besonders weil die Achterbahn sich unerwartet gedreht hat und ich dann rückwärts saß. 

Naja, lange Rede kurzer Sinn: hier kommen nun meine Bilder *smile*!

I haven't written a post for a while, and I am sorry for that. However, I got an excuse for my absence! I've been out often, needed to study and learn some lyrics for my performance at my cousin's wedding in September. Furthermore, I need to plan the Paris trip with my mom and in two weeks I'm going to write my first exam in this semester! 

Whatsoever, I have a lot of pictures (of food) for you! I tried out some new restaurants in Münster like KRAWUMMEL, The Hotdog Station, L'Osteria and a lot of ice cream parlors.

Cologne has also been on my list. I went to the Street Food Festival there and there was this little wagon called Der kleine Munchkin. They sold deep fried Oreos and they tasted just live heaven! The Street Food Festival itself wasn't that impressing because there were not much choices regarding food.

Early May, I went to the Phantasialand with two friends. I missed it so much, especially the coconut ingots and churros. Heaven on earth!! There is also a new water ride, which has the steepest departure in Europe. Of course I've tried it out and it was amazing! It was so fun, I'm so excited to go there again in June!
