SAN FRANCISCO (2)

First of all: Welcome to 2016. This is my second blogpost about my trip to San Francisco in September 2015! I'm so sorry that it took me so long to write this next chapter. Having a blog is a lot of work, no wonder that famous bloggers get paid that well (bazinga). I really love to continue my blog, especially to see that I actually improve my writing skills (well, I'm supposed to do so). However, be prepared to get hungry because this part is going to be about -

Food: You might have seen a lot of food pictures on my Instagram, which were from my most favorite restaurants in SF. They will definitely appear in this post again, but you know.. you can never get enough of food. *wink*

The first restaurant I am going to recommend you is the Cajun House. This seafood restaurant is a must visit in San Francisco! You get a bib and after your order comes, you eat with your hands. I've ordered shrimps with corn and it was absolutely yummy. Go there and enjoy!

Another way to get your hands dirty: Just one name. Three words. One love. IN-N-OUT. Wait.. what was McDonalds again? If you visit the US, you really need to go there and order the Double Double. This fast food restaurant needs to be on your bucket list, not only because it's very "American", but also because it's really delicious!

Another very "American" restaurant, or more precisely Diner, is Mel's Drive-In. You feel like you're back to the 50s: The Jukebox, the ambience and the food. I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon with waffles, which was very delicious. I know it sounds unusual, but I was told that it was very american, so I tried. A reminder for you: never forget the maple syrup for your waffles and salt and pepper for your scrambled eggs!

So, you know "The Big Bang Theory" right? I think they're eating in every episode. You might have noticed that Penny works in a restaurant called The Cheesecake Factory. I thought that it would look like in the TV show, but it didn't. It was more... let's say fancy, and I liked it. As the restaurant name says, The Cheesecake Factory is known for its mouth-watering cheesecake. It really is. I've tried the Classic Cheesecake and it was so yummy. O-M-G. Just so creamy and I can't even describe it. They also serve you with warm dishes, which I had before the cheesecake. It was a mistake because in my opinion they weren't as delicious as the cheesecake, and after that dish I was almost too full for the cheesecake (even though there is always room for dessert). Whatever, here are some impressions of my first time there:

so fancy right? totally not like in "The Big Bang Theory" !!
Yeah, like I said.. it wasn't that delicious.
heaven must've sent this.

The other time, I thought about giving the restaurant another chance with the main dishes. So my cousin and I went to The Cheesecake Factory at Union Square, where you have an amazing view, especially at night! This one tasted better, but yeaaah, not as good as the cheesecake though. BY THE WAY, they serve the most delicious bread I've ever had in my life. I can't explain why, you need to try it by yourself:

nomnomnom
just some pasta. nothing special though.
stunning.

Alright, let's stop with all the bread, cheesecake, noodles and so on. Here is another fast food restaurant for you. Tacos, Burritos, crispy, hot... Well, I think the name says it all.: Taco Bell. Just feel the love.

burrito and tacos.

You aren't sick of it yet? I know, you'll get the urge to eat something. How about Rave Burger? This unique restaurant with its cozy ambience and its tasty burgers (which are, as you might see from the picture, small) and fries will make your stomach turn into a vulcano (.. don't ask.).

those were the best sweet potatoe fries I've ever had in my life. bless you rave burger.

Rave Burger is based in San Mateo. Just like B Street & Vine. Guys, you don't know how grateful I am for my cousin, that she showed me this restaurant. It has the most delicious bruschetta (which are roasted slices of bread with any covering you want) I've ever tried. Especially the ones with salmon on it. Just heaven on earth! I would travel to Cali just to get some of those.

As you might have noticed, there are not only burgers, fries and fast food restaurants. Especially San Francisco is a multicultural city, where many inhabitants are from Latin America and Asia. Consequently, there are a lot of Mexican and Asian restaurants. I've been to a Japanese restaurant, which served Ramen. I forgot the name of the restaurant, and I'm sorry for that, but you can find good Ramen in almost every Japanese restaurants! Props to this one because their Ramen was really really delicate.

I've also tried some Vietnamese restaurants. I looooove Vietnamese food. Here are just some pictures and no restaurant names, because you can find Vietnamese food everywhere (I don't know the names, tbh). Just say Phở and you get a traditional soup. Or Bánh Xèo, which is like a fried yellow crêpe with vegetables and shrimps and meat in it. Simply awesome!

This is the last one restaurant I'm going to tell you about. The Millbrae Pancake House. Even if I've never been to Texas, it felt like being in a Texan restaurant because it just looked very Texan. I think when you hear Texas, you kinda have your own picture of it, so just imagine a Texan restaurant. My cousin and I went there in the morning, so we had breakfast. I ordered hash browns and scrambled eggs with avocado and Swedish Pancakes. Gosh, I would be jealous if I were you *giggles*

Yaaas, that's it! Unfortunately, I can't write more about the following pictures, because this post is already wayyy to long, and I know how boring a post can get! So enjoy the pictures!

Tu My xoxo
