LIKE A BIRD.

Yesterday I went to Düsseldorf with a friend. We immediately went to What's Beef, a burger restaurant, which is especially known for their selfmade lemonade and bomb looking shakes. I remember the first time I went there, when I had one of their selfmade lemonade. Damn, that was tasty. This time we ordered sweet potatoe fries. I have the feeling, that I always order sweet potatoe fries, even if I have the chance to try something new. However, it can never go wrong. After that, we went to Forever 21, which is well-known in the US. I think in Germany it's also more common now. I bought two really really cute tops, I can't wait to post them! Oh and if you're wondering about the heading. I feel like a bird, happy and free. Even if I still need to get some motivation letters and one term paper done, THIS feels good.

Much love

AFTER ALL THIS TIME..

I know. It has been a while since I posted something, but I want you to know that I've been a bit lazy lately and didn't have much time because of studying and socializing. I've finished my exams (for now) and now I'm about to plan my after birthday parties. Today is one. I will have some dinner with my girls from Cologne and after that we'll go to the inner city to celebrate my 21st. One week later, I will have another party in Münster with my fellow students. I'm so excited for that. It is also kinda like a farewell party for some of them because they are going to do a semester abroad, which makes me more than sad. I'm gonna miss them so much and I hope I get to visit most of them!
Okay, let me just give you a short summary about my semester: I haven't posted since April now, and I am sincerely sorry for that. I had to take many exams from the first two semesters, which I didn't write or pass. So pray for me that I did well this time because I really don't want to take them again. Apart from university and studying, I had much going on in my free time. I MET KYGO! Guys, you don't even know. This day was the most blessed I had for a while. I was the luckiest girl in the world and I can't even describe the feeling I had. It's not that I knew Kygo for ten years and I was also so obsessed with getting to see him. BUT I can tell you, that the first time I listened to his music and remixes, I immediately fell in love. I can definitely tell: He has a shy cute smile and I totally love his accent. I know he has a girlfriend, but let me be have this moment for myself okay? *smile* I also have a selfie with him! I still need to print it out and put it on my wall.
I've also tried some more restaurants, which were lit. Burgers, pasta, pizzas and much more. Mocca d'or is awesome. I love the pasta there. You definitely have to try it. I would go there everyday if it wasn't that expensive for a student. You pay around 12€ for main dish and with a drink it is around 15€ plus tip. You can survive 3 days with that money. However, it's worth it, and I would allow myself to go there once a week. *smirk*
Another thing is: I use spotify since March and now I'm up-to-date with music. Right now my favourite one is We don't talk anymore by Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez. I'm enchanted by his voice. You guys better listen to that song! Love it...
By the way, about my birthday. It was on the 28th and one day after that I had to take the exam statistics. You can guess how happy I was about that. I thought I am going to spend my whole birthday in the library and then going home alone. BUT. I have the best friends ever. They suprised me in the library and gave me my birthday gift. I am so blessed to have friends like that. I really didn't expect that. Furthermore, on the 29th, after the exam, I thought I was going to meet a fellow student. So I was going to that place where I was supposed to meet him, but then my girls from Cologne suprised me. Well, that escalated quickly!!! Oh my gosh. After that, I got to see the movie Pets with my special person. The movie was so cute and awesome, so is he. I can't believe how many lovely people surround me, this makes me perfectly happy.

That's it guys. I guess I mentioned the most important things. Hope you can imagine how my months were without blogging.

Love everyone,

Tu My xoxo

KYGO.

29th of March, the day when me and my friends went to Kygo's Cloud Nine Tour concert in the concert hall Palladium in Cologne. There are no words that express how I felt before, during and after the concert, so I will just tell you how the day was and show you some pictures!
We were at my house and prepared for the concert. The admission was at 6:30 pm and the concert started at 8 pm. So we thought about being there at 6 pm, so there won't be too many people already and we can be close to the stage. We went there at 5 pm and arrived at 6 pm, but the line was already sooooo long! We waited half an hour until the staff opened the gates. All in all it was well-organized and no scramble. When we got into the Palladium, we immediately ran to the coatrack to leave our jackets there before we went into the concert hall. After we arrived, it was already one third full, but we were actually pretty satisfied with our view to the stage. So we waited until 8 pm, when Sonny Alven, who is a Norwegian producer and DJ, came out and turned out to be the opening act. You can listen to him on Spotify, I really like some tracks of him. My favourite of him at the moment is "Irregular Love". After half an hour another supporting act named Anna of the North, a Norwegian singer, came on the stage. She performed some of her songs, which were more quiet.
When it was around 10 pm, Kygo came. Finally. The crowd screamed and were all excited to see him (well at least I was). It was simply amazing. No words. He opened his performance with his "Younger" and "Miami 82" remixes. So beautiful. Then he played some of his older remixes like "Often" or "Sexual Healing" and also - of course - songs from his new Album "Cloud Nine". I love how he plays the piano by himself because it is just so beautiful to hear and see. The last song was his first original release "Firestone", which he announced very proudly. He performed the acoustic version with Anna of the North and it was heaven.
Everything ended at 11:30 pm, which went really fast to be honest. However, we will never forget this concert, it made us, especially me, soooo happy. I loved it.
Here are some pictures, which will give you some impressions, but honestly - go to concerts (especially his) by yourself! It will make your night shine much brighter!

Love,
Tu My xoxo

SEMESTER BREAK.

Hey sweethearts!
It's already March and I'm over with my exams for the 3rd semester. It has been kinda stressful: long days and nights in the library and no fun without thinking of studying. However, I'm done with it for one month and except for the exams my 3rd semester was really really awesome. I'm getting to know more and more people, and I love it so much! Münster. I fell in love with you because you brought me so many kind and beautiful people.
And March is gonna be lots of fun! My uncle has a home cinema now and I've got a lot on my schedule. Next week I'm going to a sleepover with some friend from Münster. So excited for it! I totally love sleepovers because it's just a lot of random fun, even though I tend to fall asleep very easily. Furthermore, it's my brothers birthday on Sunday, and I still don't have any gifts for him!! The week after that I'm going on vacatioooon. Gonna write about it on my next post. Unfortunately, my Paris trip for the last week of my semester break needed to be cancelled. Anyhow, I'm going to catch up on it in the summer (the weather is gonna be better anyways). Sooo, be prepared for my next blogpost!

See yaa,
Tu My xoxo

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR !

I wish you all a Happy Chinese New Year, and I hope you had just like me a wonderful day and night with your family and loved ones!
When you are wondering why the Chinese New Year is not on the first of January: We go after the Lunar Calender, which means that the calender is based on the moon phases. So our New Year's day can be in the early or in the late February.
My Chinese teacher told me, that when people ask her when her mother's birthday is, she simply answers with "I don't know." because it's, just like the Chinese New Year, on a different day every year.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you shortly how my day yesterday went and wanted to show you some pictures. My family and relatives gathered together at my Uncle's house and everyone brought food. Then we prayed and after that ate all the fooooood. At the end of the day the older generation gave the younger one red envelopes with money in it, which imply luck, success and happiness for New Year. I hope you enjoy all the foodporn below *smirks*

Love y'all and peace out

PILLOWTALK

Lately, I've been obsessed with the song "Pillowtalk" by Zayn Malik. I remember when me and my best friend used to be fangirling over One Direction sooo hard. Well, I think she still is, but I'm kinda over it. Especially, when Zayn left the band. Whatever, I love the song and the lyrics, so just listen to it and make up your own mind *bigsmile*.

Climb on board
We'll go slow and high tempo
Light and dark
Hold me hard and mellow

I'm seeing the pain, seeing the pleasure
Nobody but you, 'body but me, 'body but us
Bodies together
I'd love to hold you close, tonight and always
I'd love to wake up next to you
I'd love to hold you close, tonight and always
I'd love to wake up next to you

So we'll piss off the neighbours
In the place that feels the tears
The place to lose your fears
Yeah, reckless behavior
A place that is so pure, so dirty and raw
Be in the bed all day, bed all day, bed all day
Fucking in, fighting on
It's our paradise and it's our war zone
It's our paradise and it's our war zone

Pillow talk
My enemy, my ally
Prisoners
Then we're free, it's a thriller

I'm seeing the pain, seeing the pleasure
Nobody but you, 'body but me, 'body but us
Bodies together
I'd love to hold you close, tonight and always
I'd love to wake up next to you

So we'll piss off the neighbours
In the place that feels the tears
The place to lose your fears
Yeah, reckless behavior
A place that is so pure, so dirty and raw
Be in the bed all day, bed all day, bed all day
Fucking in, fighting on
It's our paradise and it's our war zone
It's our paradise and it's our war zone

Paradise, paradise, paradise, paradise
War zone, war zone, war zone, war zone
Paradise, paradise, paradise, paradise
War zone, war zone, war zone, war zone

So we'll piss off the neighbours
In the place that feels the tears
The place to lose your fears
Yeah, reckless behavior
A place that is so pure, so dirty and raw
Be in the bed all day, bed all day, bed all day
Fucking in, fighting on
It's our paradise and it's our war zone

SAN FRANCISCO (2)

First of all: Welcome to 2016. This is my second blogpost about my trip to San Francisco in September 2015! I'm so sorry that it took me so long to write this next chapter. Having a blog is a lot of work, no wonder that famous bloggers get paid that well (bazinga). I really love to continue my blog, especially to see that I actually improve my writing skills (well, I'm supposed to do so). However, be prepared to get hungry because this part is going to be about -

Food: You might have seen a lot of food pictures on my Instagram, which were from my most favorite restaurants in SF. They will definitely appear in this post again, but you know.. you can never get enough of food. *wink*

The first restaurant I am going to recommend you is the Cajun House. This seafood restaurant is a must visit in San Francisco! You get a bib and after your order comes, you eat with your hands. I've ordered shrimps with corn and it was absolutely yummy. Go there and enjoy!

Another way to get your hands dirty: Just one name. Three words. One love. IN-N-OUT. Wait.. what was McDonalds again? If you visit the US, you really need to go there and order the Double Double. This fast food restaurant needs to be on your bucket list, not only because it's very "American", but also because it's really delicious!

me with the cam recorder *smile*

Another very "American" restaurant, or more precisely Diner, is Mel's Drive-In. You feel like you're back to the 50s: The Jukebox, the ambience and the food. I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon with waffles, which was very delicious. I know it sounds unusual, but I was told that it was very american, so I tried. A reminder for you: never forget the maple syrup for your waffles and salt and pepper for your scrambled eggs!

So, you know "The Big Bang Theory" right? I think they're eating in every episode. You might have noticed that Penny works in a restaurant called The Cheesecake Factory. I thought that it would look like in the TV show, but it didn't. It was more... let's say fancy, and I liked it. As the restaurant name says, The Cheesecake Factory is known for its mouth-watering cheesecake. It really is. I've tried the Classic Cheesecake and it was so yummy. O-M-G. Just so creamy and I can't even describe it. They also serve you with warm dishes, which I had before the cheesecake. It was a mistake because in my opinion they weren't as delicious as the cheesecake, and after that dish I was almost too full for the cheesecake (even though there is always room for dessert). Whatever, here are some impressions of my first time there:

so fancy right? totally not like in "The Big Bang Theory" !!
Yeah, like I said.. it wasn't that delicious.
heaven must've sent this.

The other time, I thought about giving the restaurant another chance with the main dishes. So my cousin and I went to The Cheesecake Factory at Union Square, where you have an amazing view, especially at night! This one tasted better, but yeaaah, not as good as the cheesecake though. BY THE WAY, they serve the most delicious bread I've ever had in my life. I can't explain why, you need to try it by yourself:

nomnomnom
just some pasta. nothing special though.
stunning.

Alright, let's stop with all the bread, cheesecake, noodles and so on. Here is another fast food restaurant for you. Tacos, Burritos, crispy, hot... Well, I think the name says it all.: Taco Bell. Just feel the love.

burrito and tacos.

You aren't sick of it yet? I know, you'll get the urge to eat something. How about Rave Burger? This unique restaurant with its cozy ambience and its tasty burgers (which are, as you might see from the picture, small) and fries will make your stomach turn into a vulcano (.. don't ask.).

those were the best sweet potatoe fries I've ever had in my life. bless you rave burger.

Rave Burger is based in San Mateo. Just like B Street & Vine. Guys, you don't know how grateful I am for my cousin, that she showed me this restaurant. It has the most delicious bruschetta (which are roasted slices of bread with any covering you want) I've ever tried. Especially the ones with salmon on it. Just heaven on earth! I would travel to Cali just to get some of those.

As you might have noticed, there are not only burgers, fries and fast food restaurants. Especially San Francisco is a multicultural city, where many inhabitants are from Latin America and Asia. Consequently, there are a lot of Mexican and Asian restaurants. I've been to a Japanese restaurant, which served Ramen. I forgot the name of the restaurant, and I'm sorry for that, but you can find good Ramen in almost every Japanese restaurants! Props to this one because their Ramen was really really delicate.

ramen with corn, pork and vegetables.

I've also tried some Vietnamese restaurants. I looooove Vietnamese food. Here are just some pictures and no restaurant names, because you can find Vietnamese food everywhere (I don't know the names, tbh). Just say Phở and you get a traditional soup. Or Bánh Xèo, which is like a fried yellow crêpe with vegetables and shrimps and meat in it. Simply awesome!

This is the last one restaurant I'm going to tell you about. The Millbrae Pancake House. Even if I've never been to Texas, it felt like being in a Texan restaurant because it just looked very Texan. I think when you hear Texas, you kinda have your own picture of it, so just imagine a Texan restaurant. My cousin and I went there in the morning, so we had breakfast. I ordered hash browns and scrambled eggs with avocado and Swedish Pancakes. Gosh, I would be jealous if I were you *giggles*

Yaaas, that's it! Unfortunately, I can't write more about the following pictures, because this post is already wayyy to long, and I know how boring a post can get! So enjoy the pictures!
